Passed – Hortlandia 2021: An Event to Remember!

Hortlandia 2021 was certainly an event to remember! Not only was it held at a new venue and a different time of the year, but Oregon experienced its hottest temperatures ever recorded. Since the sale was held outside to comply with pandemic restrictions, visitors and vendors alike braved the 110+ degree heat to enjoy the incredible collection of plants and garden art on display. The Show Must Go On! The community was heartbroken that Hortlandia 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic, so with restrictions easing this year, the Hardy Plant Society was committed to making this event happen safely….

Wait, there’s more than plants at Hortlandia?!

Hortlandia 2019

You’d be 100% right to be getting excited about all the plants coming up at Hortlandia, April 20 & 21st at the Portland EXPO Center. I mean, there are going to be SO MANY GREAT PLANTS. Go on, get excited! But there are also many non-plant vendors at the sale. They sell everything from pottery, to garden art, to bee and bird houses and more. Our non-plant vendors make their items themselves as creators, so you’ll be seeing one-of-a-kind artwork where you can talk (almost always) directly to the artist who created it. In addition to beautiful garden accessories, there…
